• THOR RE-801-2D Dual Direct-Drive Leather Skiving Machine

  The THOR RE-801-2D delivers controlled leather thinning for shoes, bags, belts, wallets, and other leather goods. Its dual direct-drive motor system provides independent control of the cutting knife and material feed, allowing operators to adjust feeding speed to suit the material while maintaining consistent cutting performance. Direct-drive operation also helps reduce noise, vibration, energy loss, and belt-related maintenance.

  • Suitable for edge and full-surface skiving of leather, artificial leather, vinyl, and similar materials.
  • Ideal for shoe uppers, bags, belts, watch straps, wallets, and leather upholstery buttons.
  • Skiving width up to 2 inches.
  • Removes backing material from leather.
  • Supports bevel skiving with a special presser foot, available by special order.
  • Uses a Fortuna-type knife, shoe, and plate.
  • Separate clutch engagement for the knife and sharpener helps extend the life of the knife and sharpening stone.
  • Supplied fully assembled with a table, stand, and 110V dual direct-drive motor system.
